How Can You Help??
We are late in entering this race, and must admit we were shocked to find out how much money some people want to spend on this office. My opponent has a huge head start on me in this area, which we doubt we can make up. But I believe I have a huge advantage in knowledge and qualifications, and do not believe money works as well as some would think. In past elections, several candidates received large donations of over $10,000 and still LOST. As I am retired and under no other time constraints, I will be out and around on a daily basis promoting our positions. However many of you have already asked how you can help, so here are some ways to do so:
Tell Other People!

WORD of MOUTH works! Many a great movie or restaurant ONLY became a success through word-of mouth. No matter where you live in Fresno, tell your friends about how important this race is, and direct them to this page. Let them know, wether they live in the Hoover area or not, that I will be fighting for ALL students in the district and know how to solve problems that will directly impact them. If you have a community organization, hobby or book club, or want me to come meet with a group of your friends, please let us know.
Distribute Campaign Literature/Register New Voters!

Hand out campaign flyers at your child's school, soccer game, or at any groups or organizations you belong to. We will want help in walking precincts in the next two months when the weather gets a little cooler, and will have a signup for that. If you live in the Hoover area, you can be the captain or your neighborhood! You can also register new voters who want to help. We will provide the forms.
Donate Money/Services

If you would like to make a small donation, you can send a check to Jack Jarvis for Schoolboard, PO Box 3237, Pinedale, CA 93650-3237. We will soon have a Paypal account posted here. If you woud like to pool money with a group of friends, for example everybody pitches in a one or two dollars, that would be great also. We do not have to name anybody who contributes less then 100$ to the FPPC, so if you are concerned about anybody knowing you are helping us, that will take care of that issues. If you want to donate more than $100, please take your family out to eat first then send us what you have left over!

If you have a business which might be useful to us and would want to contribute from that end, we are open to any and all suggestions, including sponsoring a fund-raiser at your location. We are opem to any suggestions.
Volunteer for Specific Duties

We need a Treasurer to co-sign checks, which would be their only duty. If you have experience in any campaign skill, we would be glad for that also.
